Since I have the artistic creativity of a fence post, this is just a straight colorization. Might try a watercolor version and post it in photo art . . .
Fine work Carole,
I like the limited pallette and skin color.
Good job on the blouse. It was tough to restore.
My only suggestion, and I may be wrong.
But I'd love to see the blotchy grain on her forehead and
right side of face blended a little. Not too smooth of course.
I tried a watercolor tutorial on a portrait.
I had 8 layers with different opacity and blend modes.
Then the tutorial had me dragging layers up and down in the stack.
It was then I let out a scream of frustration and tore up the tutorial.

Thanks, Matt. I had to build a whole new base image for coloring, paying attention to damage I was able to slough over in the sepia version. It's a tough call how much to smooth out skin - was trying to keep Janet's 'painterly' look, but gotta admit I really don't know what painterly means. Janet?
Eight layers for a watercolor? You're talking me out of even trying!
