I went for a less plastic look, just some basic spot removal, a little makeup and mascara. That's all.

Your retouching is very naturel. I like

Comment faites vous le mascara ?
How made will mascara it to you? (google traduction)
Thank you

Fine work Janet,
The eyelashes are beautifully done,
Can't believe you did that fine detail with a mouse.
Admit it Janet, you are using a Wacom.

I spent a lot of time shaping the straight edge of hair.
Your even tighter crop solved the problem in 1 second.

Matt

Wow, Google translations are amazing!

Nice job! Your crop makes the image quite dramatic, and the subtlety of your retouch is great. Her face doesn't look as angular in your version as in many others (including mine). Did you straighten it up any, or is it just the effect of the crop?

And I, too, am in awe of your mascara.

Eyelashes = the grass brush in photoshop, tweaked and bent until I get just ONE eyelash. Then I made a new brush from that. It is a little wider at the bottom than the top. If I space it right, it looks like mascara when I'm done. Unfortunately, I lost the brush for the left eye in a computer redo. So now I have to rotate the picture by degrees to do the left eye. Just rotating the brush won't produce the right effect.

Thanks for the comments all. I really appreciated them.

Janet

Thanks Janet,
Your method sure beats my crude attempts at
creating curved lashes with a 1 or 2 pixel smear tool.

I've progressed since this retouch. Time for a new quick and dirty submission.
