I began by repairing and replacing damaged portions of the channels. The next several layers consisted of dodge & burn, spot color corrections with hue/sat, colorizing, spot channel mixing, spot levels and curves. I ended with a closer crop and healing the crack. Attempts to remove the noise met with resistance because the image was such low quality; so I left the image in the original noisy state rather than degrade it further.
Great challenge to hone skills. Thank you for posting it.
