Sharpening this picture was difficult because of the low resolution/file size. I did a number of things, not the least of which was sharpening by smudging the edges all the way around and in between. I added hue/sat adjustment layers, , curves, a shadow mask set to multiply to darken the background, some dodge and burn to increase depth. After all that, then I used unsharp mask to tweak. I'm still not 100% happy with it but will call it done so that I can still accomplish something else with my day.
