Greetings all. Long time Photoshop User, first time posting to the site. I look forward to getting to know you.
I began by making some adjustments in Camera Raw including: Exposure, Fill Light, Blacks, and Clarity.
Once in Photoshop, I made some Channels adjustments, including levels on each individual channel to broaden the spectrum a bit. Then I ran a surface blur on each channel w/ different settings to rid of most of the "jpg dirt."
Then using Quick Mask, i made some very soft selections, and used selective color and hue saturation to control the blue water and orangish ocean floor. Afterwards I masked some of the objects in the photo at varying opacities. Skin tones remain somewhat blue for realism. Realism over what might look the nicest, that's my motto.
Afterwards, I ran an Unsharp Mask filter, followed by a Fade Unsharp Mask. Then compressed using Save for Web...
Enjoy,
MrRyan
