Very difficult but with an unresistable story behind the photo I just had to try. Cleaned and cloned until it looked just flat. Backed in the original, blurred and set blending mode to darken and lighten, several times. Blended film grain into for skin texture. Worked on the shirt too long, then cropped and pasted a similar pattern (maybe not so similar but I´m not a man of fashion) instead. Pasted one of my owns for new background. I have never tryed doing hair before. I painted on blank layer with a lighter color (lighter than black!) then blurred and lowered opacity. I gave up a couple of times but finished job eventually.
