My first challenge! Couldn't resist trying my hand at this lovely portrait.
As usual with my retouching, I used layers galore, lots of airbrushing, healing brush, adding grain and noise to smooth out the existing grain. I had to backtrack many times because I felt I'd altered her features too much -- the nose was especially tricky to define.
My file had a couple airbrushed skin layers, a couple of color layer, a couple layers with painted wisps of hair, etc., all with various levels of opacity. I usually combine some layers when complete.

Nice job, but maybe you should tone down the lips and teeth a bit and also the eyes to a lesser extent.
