I learned this method a while ago. I believe it was from the NAPP website.
1. Opened both images in Photoshop and made them exactly the same size and resolution.
2. With horse image active, I went under Image/Apply image and chose the wall image.
3. After experimenting with the different channels and blend modes, I chose the Red channel and Hard Light blend mode.

A fun, quick and easy way to get different results combining two photos.
