Jen is a very striking woman with nice strong features. It would have helped to know in which genre she writes. I gave Jen an "all purpose" look....lol. I couldn't help but think that she has a Susan Atkins look going in this picture, so I tried to soften her features a bit (as they appeared in this picture.) My procedures:

1. I used "Face Filter" to widen her eyes a bit to give her a more gentle like.
2. I also used "Face Filter" to lighten her complexion. Perhaps the processing of the original print gave her a ruddy complexion, when it's obvious she has healthy skin. Lightening the complexion also added to a more gentle look.
3. Her beautiful long black hair needed, I felt, a busy background. Again, trying to lose the Susan Atkins look. <G>
4. I used black and white because that's usually the norm for newspaper ads, etc.

An aside: If Jen writes in the Gothic genre, I would do the exact opposite and highlight her strong features.
