rotated picture till it was somewhat straight
Selected pieces of the guy (background, shirt, hat, medal, eyes, skin) and hue/saturated them to my liking.
dodged the lips, around the eyes and chin.
played with curves to achieve desired look.
I think I played around too much with it because I liked it awhile ago better...oh well...
blurred edges of hat, skin, and hair
applied unsharp mask
airbrushed face
not a very good description...sorry about that...like I said I should have stopped awhile ago.

woow...that is green, it didn't show up that green when I was working on it...oh well. It generally looks darker than what appeared on my screen.

I think the saturated colours give it a more contemporary feel. He looks less "vintage" than some of the others. I don't think that's a bad thing. It's a neat approach. Too bad it darkened up so much but that sometimes happens.

I like the saturated green look. It is bit shadowy, but I think the dark works for it.
