First, I extracted the head and shoulders to a new layer,
then added a few texture layers for the complexion mod,
using combinations of blending including multiply,
luminosity, and soft light. These layers were masked out and then distorted to fit the face area.
later, the glasses were added and tweaked with the warp filter to fit. The lenses were selected with the magnetic lasso, and color was desaturated and transparency reduced to 10%, then highlights were added with a soft brush in overlay mode. selection of the frames was touched up with the pen tool, then the selection was feathered.
Eye and hair color were modified using fill layers
set to black in screen blending mode, and color added
with a soft brush. Saturation was then adjusted (reduced) with a layer mask to make the coloration more convincing

Addendum:
I tried several different body swaps, background substitutions, etc...
... nah! She's beautiful, without any undue glamorization.
I landed on the original setting.
But I wanted to "geek her up", rather than "glamorize" her.
Although beautiful, in her own rite, the self-portrait came
out over-exposed, due to the direct (on-camera) flash.
Sure, overexposure, without extreme highlight blowout, gives
a "ghastly" appearance, but I'm sure this is not what we want.
So, I fixed the overexposure and the bad lighting,
then I added the ruddy complexion, strawberry hair color, freckles,
and braces. It was my fantasy.
BTW: the glasses are slightly crooked on her face.
This was deliberate. In real life, wire frames are seldom
perfectly straight, after months or years of abuse.
I hope it worked for y'all.
