Using Corel Photopaint
1) Load up the original as the background
2) Make a new layer with the background for restoring
3) Use Akvis Stamp to remove most of the yellow splotches and creases on the original.
4) Make Objects (layers) of the hair, band, face, eyes, mouth for individual retouching
5) Create a top layer from the original to allow easy back and forth checking for accuracy.
6) Color up each of the layers with hue settings then add contrast with the tone curve for each color.
7) Use the clone brush to apply details and adjust dark shadows.
8) Make two blank layers with the yucky dress color to position behind the hair and above the dress.
Set the merge to saturation so that the blank layers only show up underneath the spaces between the hair.
(The spaces are still gray from the original). Trim off excess with the eraser.
9) Collapse all the layers.
10) Tidy up around the joints.
11) choose an eye color.
12) Set intensity and brightness to suit.
