this is my first proper antique type photo restoration & tougher than expected , process basically as follows;
dust & scratches selectively with masks , lots of healing brush st this stage I'm just fixing major cracks etc & on bg to start with ... then dodge & burn for more tricky & delicate areas especially faces & Myrtle's intricate dressware etc , also alot of clone stamp on low opacity especially along edges , ...lots of music later I used selective hue/sat to suck out the aged yellowing heavily on the clothing & bg then less on the skin tones , not sure if the flowers should be white but kept them as yellow just for variation , the color correction really lifted the image , then finally did my best on Myrtle's wonky eye & a last ditch attempt to save her necklace/pendant , then curves to brighten overall.
Criticisms welcome especially if constructive .
Cheers , Mark

I have no criticisms on this. I have worked for days on this, but it's nowhere near as good as yours. Very good work!

This is really nice! I agree that the color correction really added something.
