I believe I may have relied too heavily on the Patch tool in this, especially since I wanted to keep the gorgeous background texture as true as possible. So I may redo this using bgates87's HIGHLY helpful instructions, just to learn something new.  But for my first time out, I don't suppose this is too bad.
As mentioned, I used the Patch tool an amazing amount, to heal the cracks. There was also heavy use of the Clone stamp, set to varying opacities depending on where I was working. I then used the dodge and burn tools on a Soft Light layer set to 50% grey fill, to re-emphasize the highlights and shadows of Myrtle's veil. This was also used to define her right eyelid.
Skin tone was evened out using a variety of tools: paintbrush set either to Color or Darken, depending on what was needed, Clone stamp, and a bit of dodging and burning on the layer I mentioned earlier. I also employed a simple color correction using a Curves adjustment layer, and a general "airbrushing" technique on the couple's faces and necks, just because I thought it looked nice.
