Second contribution is pretty straight forward.
Opened my picture of the WTC (1993). Cut and paste on new layer. Enlarge canvas size. Perspective transform. Drop shadow.
Cut out planes and smokes. Copy & pasted over the picture of WTC. Copied just the planes and pasted on new layer. On layer of planes & smokes changed blend mode to overlay. Drop shadow.
Red white and blue gradient on the bottom layer.
"Never Forget" text. Layer style>bevel & emboss>hard chisel, contour.
FLattened. Reduce file size to conform with 200K limit.

I like the red, white and blue background. And the aircraft look 3D. Great job.

I like how you have the background as well and I also think it was a cool idea to have the pic of the WTC floating above the background and the jets flying over. Way too cool.

Very cool effect! I really like the 3D planes flying over the 2D postcard-like photo of New York City and the WTC!
The red, white & blue background gradient is a bit distracting to me, but hey it is definitely patriotic! A basic white background might have more punch, but then you would lose a bit of the patriotic quality. Still, I think the gradient is too vibrant and takes away from your images. So, perhaps if you just soften the gradient a bit and make it more subtle it would bring more attention to your images. Just a thought. Overall, great job and a beautiful tribute!
