First, lots of cloning and healing. Then copied my layer at that time to save in color mode for future use. Copied the retouched layer again, cloned out man & wife -- extending the background to cover the man & wife -- blurred it and texturized it to approach the texture of the original. Masked out the parts over man & wife to reveal them and leave new background where it belongs, then placed the first color layer on top so all the colors were back on track. Flattened, then adjusted color to remove the yellow. Adjusted levels to bring some contrast back, burned some areas to darken.
