I just opened the 2 pictures dragged one onto the other, resized then so they were about the right size added a layer mask used a big airbrush to remove part of the girl and dog and bingo job was done

Hi! Kelvin
You make it sound so easy. You've daringly taken the challenge into a new direction, by using greyscale and putting them into a Crystal Ball, you have made of them what must be practically the ultimate in focal point.
The only criticism I would make is the sharp line at base indentation, blurring there would give a better roll over effect.
