I wanted to keep the main colours of this as they give a feeling of the era.
First copied background layer.
Adjusted black, white and neutral using curves.
Adjusted selective colours (nearly all of them).
replace colour to reduce and grey out the blue mess in the corner.
Adjust vibrance.
Worked on skirt to build the whole thing in a uniform colour using replace colour.
Painted out the little sister using clone and brush.
cleaned up surroundings using clone.rebuilt chair arms using copy, paste and transforming the selection (skew, perspective)
used clone to reproduce various other parts of chair and painted in where needed.
Patch tool to even out the texture and make the shading more natural.
yellow blotches removed with replace colour on a selection of the picture copied to its own layer.
reworked feet which were only just visible(used cardigan sleeve for socks as there was a good graduation).
Not happy with curtain and so replaced by copying side wall and transforming ,painted back the foreground with a mask.
Tidied the background, still not happy with upper corner behind the girls head.
Cropped to tidy and added small amount of floor so feet arent right on edge of pic.
despeckle to even out overall and then smart sharpen.
