First I did an HDR conversion on the color file, then I selected the red channel to work on. I did a levels adjustment to bring some depth to the ocean. The sky was very washed out so I selected it and applied an exaggerated Gaussian blur to simulate a fog bank rolling in. Then I did a levels adjustment on the fog to darken it.
