First I adjusted the image using curves and levels to tune in the exposure and color. Then I cloned out the blemishes and smoothed out the skin by blurring the image and bringing back only the detailed areas. I also tweaked the eyes with curves to give them more of a pop. I also added a slight vignette around the whole image to draw the eye toward the main subject and I darkened the bottom and gave it a slight blur.

I like this one. My eyes are really drawn toward the subject. Softening isn't over the top.
