Once again, the patch tool proves very useful in getting rid of the scratches in the picture. I made selections using the polygon selection tool and brushed colours over at various opacity using the colour mode (Gave him brown eyes and hair too). He looked a bit like an Anzac soldier to me, so I coloured his uniform to reflect that. Finally, just a minor lighting and contrast change using the curves and levels.
