WW II soldier assigned to the 28th Infantry Black Lions 1st Infantry Division. I had a hard time finding this guys outfit. The camo's fooled me. I never knew that they had camo's during WWII. The uniform gave me the impression that he was a Vietnam vet, but the zipper on the jacket didn't seem right, and the garrison cap looked out of place. After some research, I was able to put the pieces together. My guess is that this picture was taken toward the end of the war, but I could be wrong. The lion on the cap definetly put him in the infantry so the cap got a light blue cord which was the designation for infantry.
Each component has its own layer, including (2) final layers of dodge-and-burn and grain. An antique border was added to give final touch.
