In my mind I had something that could be a CD cover for some goth band.
Made a black background - always something to start with.
Typed the title and applied a filter effect - Flaming Pears Glare.
Tried to place the skull. It didnīt work out so well. Instead of being in the center I choosed to use it instead of the letter o in the title. Looked better. Could have ended here - a nice and clean album cover. But I decided to do a face that both could fear you and looked full of fear. Did it as many times in the program Poser. Changed the expression of the face until I was satisfied. Painted a texture and a bump map and applied it to the face. Took it into Photoshop. Applied a light that left half of the face in darkness.

You have successfully created an expression that drips Goth.

Hi! Molund
This is more in the 'Goth' style. Black and Red, Death and Blood. I like the hellish glow in the depths of the mouth. Morbid and scary.
Nick.
Oh! how I wish for that 'Poser' program

Yeah, Nick, I want Poser tooooooo!
Wonderful job, Molound! You seem really comfortable with Poser. Is it as easy to use as you make it seem?

Phyllis, I promise you, Poser is marvellous. And itīs very userfriendly for being a 3 D program. Someone who only has worked with 2 D programs, will perhaps feel a little bit unfamiliar in the beginning, but the learning curve is not steep. But of course itīs much to learn. At the moment my aim is to learn how to do good textures to wrap around the models. Iīm just about to finish a texture for a dragon - a real big one. I use Photoshop to do the textures. The interesting is that you can paint one texture with the different colors and another one that is black and white and merges with the color texture giving it a relief look - a bump map. You can also work with reflection maps of different colors and patterns that the light will go through. This light will give your character extra details in a different and more subtle way than the basic.
