I used the picture of Aunt Sophia from retouching challenge #19 and turned her into a witch--a friendly one.

Used just one channel (forget which one...sorry) and worked on that b/w image until adding color later with overlaid clouds. Most of the transformation was done with the liquid filter. Used 'find edges' after morphing it to bring out the lines and wrinkles and overlaid it with reduced opacity. Enhanced wrinkles further with a final sharpening.

Poor Aunt Sophia ...this looks like a scary character out of a children's book. I LOVE how you enhanced the wrinkles...well done!

What a novel idea! I like this beneficent witch! Maybe not as attractive as the good witch in Oz, but still a colorful character! I love the wrinkles, and the eerie, yet friendly eyes!

Thanks, DJ, but...

What are doing hanging around dark alleys anyway...hmmm?

Besides, she's a sweet friendly old thing. She can't help it if she's...well...not so attractive by our standards. And I certainly hope you aren't prejudiced against folks with green skin!

Great job changing poor Aunt Sophia into a witch. I love what you have accomplished with the liquid filter. I think I will have to try that one out as your results are fantastic!
