Since folks have been changing the books and even putting programs on the TV screen, I thought I'd better add something too, so I put a picture of the picture in her hand. Maybe the person sitting in the chair drew it?

I added the dark gradient oval mat to deal with the dark right side and also let the cool 50's TV set show.

Mostly used dust'n'scratches filter and healing and clone tools to clean it up. Also needed the blur tool to smooth skin areas. Used smudge tool brush with dynamics adjusted to make realistic hair strokes to redefine her hair. Added missing side of collar from plaid area of skirt. Corrected color in the usual ways, cleaned up the floor and "dusted" under/behind the TV with color and saturation, then increased saturation in the blues, and sharpened eyes, mouth, and plaid slightly.

Great idea! You really brought the color back to this as well...very natural looking. The drawing fits right in...well done!

Lovely work on the color and damage repair - very realistic. Adding the sketch was a dandy idea!

Mama says: "Person? What person? That there thing's a pillow, I tell ya, a pillow."

Yikes! I looked at it again and it does look like a pillow...once you know what to look for! The shape and color of it in the shadows sure suggests an arm though...creepy. Must be the Halloween gremlins playing tricks.

Wow Phyllis, that's fantastic! My favorite part is the drawing in her hand of herself standing there. That was a nice touch. Your colors a tonality are beautiful and you got around those faded and darkened edges by using an oval vignette which I thought was a great way to handle this one and bring out the subject better.

Wow! I love the way you brought back the colors and sharpened the photo enough to look real crisp, but not overdone.
