Site FAQ
Do I have to register?
No. The only reason to register is to post or upload. It also unlocks a few other features, but you can access everything on the site without registering.
If I do register, is my information safe?
Registration is free, and your information is kept private. See our privacy statement for more details
Who pays for all this?
You do. Or rather, you can. Most of the money for running this site comes from user donations. We also get a small commission if items in our Reviews section are purchased using our link. Donations are completely voluntary, but we cannot continue and grow without them. For more details click on "Support" over on our navbar.
Will you do my restoration/retouch/repair for me?
No. This is a site for learning, and we will gladly help you learn to do it yourself. We have a "Help Requested" forum just for that purpose. Click on "Forums" on the navbar to get there. There is also a "Classifieds" forum if you're willing to pay one of our members to work on your photo.
How do I resize my photos to upload to RetouchPro?
I'm just getting started with Photoshop. Am I in the right place?
I don't have Photoshop. I have a different image editor. Is this OK?
Why does the navbar keep falling below my taskbar? I can't get to the bottom of it to click on the menu items.
Why are there two different "Search" options on the menu bar?
What is the "Navbar"?
It's that menu over on the left that slides out when you put your cursor over it. It is how you navigate the different sections of our site.

Reviews FAQ
Here are some frequently asked questions about the RetouchPRO review system.
How do I submit a review?
See if the item you want to review is listed. If it is, navigate to it and click "Add a Review", then start typing. You'll need to supply a short title, and make your selections from the ratings choices. Once you're done, enter your username and password to complete your review (you'll need to be a registered RetouchPRO user).
But what if the item I want to review isn't listed?
- Verify the manufacturer or publisher is listed (they're all lumped together as "vendors"). If it isn't, suggest it using the navbar on the left side of the browser.
- Verify the item you want to review is listed. If it isn't, suggest it using the navbar on the left side of the browser. If you've already suggested the vendor, you can use vendor "unknown".
- Once you've suggested the vendor and item, they will be proofed and verified before entering them into the review system. Check back in a day or so to see if your suggestions have been entered. Once they have, you can enter your review.
I changed my mind about a review. How can I post my revised opinion?
Simply navigate to your original review and click the "edit" button at the bottom.
What is a "vendor"?
A vendor can be a manufacturer, publisher, or service provider. A vendor is not just a reseller. They actually produce the item or service to be reviewed.
Where do I get the description information for items or vendors I want to suggest?
Go to the manufacturer or publisher's website. That's also the best place to get information needed to suggest a vendor, as well.
