Stamp crashes on big file

I've just started evaluating the Stamp Plug-In.
It seems like potentially a good tool, however it is consistently crashing when used with medium - large image files.

I am using it with Paint Shop Pro X2 under Windows XP. I can edit fine, but when I go to apply it, I get the message: "Error saving image data back to host application". It then causes Paint Shop Pro to crash.

This has been happening on a 8300 x 6500 pixel TIF file.

The software seems to work fine on small files.

I have 2 gig of memory in my machine.

If this is due to insufficient memory, why isn't the software checking that before allowing it to crash? That's pretty basic to any software design. If it is due to some other cause, what would it be ?

I'll need a solution, otherwise it won't make sense to purchase it.

Just to update other readers of this thread - I was told they are working on a new version of this tool with expanded features that will also solve the problem with big files. They think it will be ready in a month or so.
