Ditto on the thanks Danny; I'm continually amazed at the energy you demonstrate here. I don't think I've seen a post where you didn't respond. Thank you for all you do.

Hey, Danny!

Your drive and desire to expand your own skills, knowledge and abilities in photo editing and photo artwork have been the driving force for the Photo Art Forums here (and to some extent at DPreview as well). In addition, your kindness, willingness and desire to share, and ability to transmit your enthusiam has helped numerous newbies (to photo editing and/or photo art) to step into uncharted waters and know that their trusty "lifeguard" is always nearby to encourage, explain, educate, or just jump in and try to save them when they get totally lost. I've never seen a mean or even cranky post from you in all these years (even when someone "deserved" such a response ;) ), and have seen volumes of info and links to further info that you've taken the time to research to help someone get started.

Many Thanks, Danny -- for all you have done, for all you continue to do, and for what you're going to continue to do. ;)

:bow: :nod: :wavey: :tongue:

You're the person that I most admire,
The person that I most would like to be.
Your presence, like a torch, has lit a fire
Deep within the place where I am me.
You will be part of everything I do;
When I need strength, I'll look inside for you.

I have seen Danny online i think hes being bashful and won't come in...I honesty didn't open this thread until just a few minutes ago. (My wife had minor eye surgery today [she's resting and doing OK], so I have been playing e-mail and forum "catch-up." Even though I may show as "logged in," that's because I have DSL = no need to ever logoff.)

This thread is extremely touching. I am truly honored and humbled by "the card" (perfect theme :)), the sigs and very kind comments.

To say it's a privilege and a pleasure to moderate this forum would be a huge understatement, but without active members whose skill levels range from beginner to salty vet, it's just an empty forum with buttons waiting to be pushed. I continue to participate here at RetouchPRO because I truly enjoy interacting with and learning from so many talented and caring people -- not only in the photo-art forum, but throughout the site.

So let me thank EVERYONE who participates at RetouchPRO -- helping make this site special, and Elle (Legacy) for initiating this very thoughtful thread.

~Danny~
