Maybe that's why the trees turned into grass!

Mines was done using Impressionist/Chalk Sketch/Half Finished ...after brightening and adding a soft light layer (merged).

I started By making 3 duplicate layers. On one I really blew out the blue channel and on another I blew out the green. I don't remember how I blended them with the third but afterwards I merged all 3.

Painted with the art history brush.

Using styles>find edges and the threshold command I created outlines on a seperate layer. I used the eraser to blend them into my image.

Feather and filled on the border, texturized the whole thing.

And after all that, I'm not sure I even like it. :surprise:

Neve, you snuck yours in right before me...very nice. Can you do that with sidewalk chalk too??

I must be losing my mind. I thought I'd posted this picture a few days ago; but lo and behold, it was still in the folder. And :blush: because it has been a few days, I don't remember what I did, only that I was "playing around".

Here's my attempt. I created a "reflection" in the foreground and created a shoreline from another shot I have then lightened,darkened and colored various parts of the image.

Con, I do like it...well done!!


Food for thought: your shoreline looks a bit out of place. In this environment you wouldn't find a clean shoreline as trees would most likely be growing right up to the edge and maybe even in the water. If the water level was low due to the time of year or drought you would probably find a rocky, gravely (is that a word?) shoreline the same color as the granit on the mountain, with dead trees and stumps and logs.

None the less it's great work and very creative :bigthmb:


BTW, did you use the ripple tool in the liquify command to make the reflection?
