Strange question I know, but can anybody tell me exactly what the steps are needed to remove cellulite from a woman's body in an image. I would be incredibly grateful.

Only way i know is diet and exercise, but yes we would like to see a photo to give you the correct answer.

This should give you an idea of what I want to do.

Duplicate layer
Blur duplicate (I used GB r=4)
Add hide all mask
Paint over blemishes on mask with a low opacity white brush.

Just be careful, you are losing skin texture here, so you may have to add noise to simulate texture.

Does this model know you are flashing her bottom off online? I think if i had that much cellulite i would kill anyone putting a picture up online. JMHO

Dup. Patch tool to remove ripples, occasionally using the fade on the patch tool, this could be better but its just to show you what i would do.

Very small sample, but I fudged around with it. Your model is squeezing her cheeks together, that is what is making the unflattering "dimples". I rounded out her bottom a bit with liquify and then used the healing brush on the "dimples". A higher res file would have much better results.

I 'played' with your picture too ...


Removed the 'dimples' with Patch Tool and smoothen with Blur Tool (1)


Used the Liquify Filter for a digital 'liposuction' (2)

Hi Everyone,

Thought that I would share my technique for removing cellulite with you, I have had great success with this:

First, I remove the large dimples with the patch tool and healing brush. I am not concerned with the little imperfections because I will catch those in the steps to follow.

Second, copy the layer and erase all of the areas of the picture except her legs.

Third, here is where we fix it all up – Apply the Filter/Noise/Median setting it to around 3. You will have to play with the setting to see what works best for your particular photo, but I tend to use 3 to 5 for cellulite areas. Now because the legs are too blurry, I fix this by reducing the Opacity to around 35% or less.

From here you can do a little body shaping or whatever else needs done, like Flora did.
