When I saw the title of this thread I thought, "Where in the world did Neve find a picture of me? I was relieved to see you hadn't... :lol:

This is a classic piece of farm gear. It will be interesting to see how the interpretations turn out.

I beat you to the post in thoughts as I was about to post it as "Like Moi, Old and Rusty" :lol:

Now if you had added creaky to the old and rusty then it WOULD be me!

Here's a quickie:

3 Duplicate layers.

Turn off original BG.
BG copy is run through: filter>artistic>underpainting, normal, 100% opacity.
BG copy 2 is run through: filter>artistic>cutout, luminosity, 70% opacity.
BG copy 3 is run through: Filter>xero>linart, overlay, 55% opacity.


That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :nod:

L3 - Art Media/Brushstrokes....settings....
Softness=0/Length=15/Density=26/
Angle=315/Colour #404040/Bristles=20/
Width=8/Opacity=4
L3 - Mode - Normal 70%
Merged layers/Added texture and borders.

I did some Caravaggio, Organic Edges.

Some real fine interpretations so far. I decided that the grass was much too bright, and got thinking in B/W terms. I created layers from each of the red, blue, and green channels. Blue was my baseline, at the lowest level. Then I put Red over Blue with Pin Light blending, and stamped that to a new layer. Copied it and used it as a layer mask on the Green layer, just over Blue, set to Lighten blending mode. I left the Red layer undisplayed, but kept the Red-pinlight-blue layer set to darken mode at 80% opacity. On top of it all, I added a curve adjustment layer with an S-curve that brought down the highlights and brought up the shadows. No other manipulation.
