I was playing with removing the blue cast in MaryLynn's Blue Accident in LAB mode b channel and was wondering if anyone uses LAB to adjust skin tones. If so, why? If not, why not?

Hello Ken,

I did try the L.A.B. "b" mode (Yellow/Blue) for the blue accident photo offered by Mary Lynn.

My focus was on the center of the curve and attempting to alter the blue "cast" by moving the central point up the diagonal, without bending the line itself. It was not, alas, very successful for me in this attempt.

With regard to L.A.B. for skin tones, one would play in the red /green or "a" layer as I understand it, but am far to green to know how one might technically (by the numbers) alter the skin to a desirable shade. I can only comment that I find it counter-intuitive, but that might be my own wanky understanding of it :dizzy:
