Hi Folks,

are there any actions or at least some tutorials on how to digital imitate this typical polaroid look of fading, yellowing greenish colors look?

Here is an example:

Hello,

I am not sure if there are any tutorials for this, but here is one method that seems to work well:

Duplicate your pic
Use a 3x3 or 5x5 eyedrop sample of clear sky ( in this case green tinged)
Create new layer and fill with selected foreground color (green)
generate a layer mask, reveal all
select default brush size of ~ 900 and set opacity of brush between 11 and 33% - I prefer lower setting as it provides greater control over the background color
Add or delete shadow from your inital pic after combining

Just a quick and simple way to get something like it. Go to Image>Adjustments>Photo Filter and add a green filter to it. You can change the filter colour to suit the picture :bigthmb:

What I did was pretty easy. The lady in the foreground has a lot of white in her dress and the brightest spot in the picture was near her right breast. The lady in the background to the left had on what appears to be a black dress.

I used a levels adjustment layer and used the white eyedropper to click on the green area, and with the black eyedropper I clicked on the red area on the lady's black dress and the color was restored.
