I think you may need to tell us what you are trying to achieve with this picture? My immediate reaction is that the image background has a very cyan cast - is that what you were aiming for? Also the girls face is very blown out.

I achieved the attached by colour balancing the girl, and the rest of the image separately (as well as setting levels.) I also reduced the contrast on the girl's skin slightly.

I added a LOT of red. Without knowing the girl's hair and lip colour I wasn't sure whether the brown you had in your modification was accurate or not? This black/brown seems more realistic to me.

Her face does need a bit of separate retouching as well to remove the shadows around her eyes etc.

Pic 2 - is your version with the background colour corrected.

If you can give a bit more detail on what result you're after it would be good though.

Just with a little bit of makeup and gaussian blur to her skin, removing dark marks under her eyes, and shadow from forehead, + slight USM.

Well this picture has alot pink cast shadow and i try to remove it a little bit but i don't know for sure is it already good or what is going wrong after i retouched it......................

I'm not sure what we were trying to do but I gave it my own try! There was an awful cyan cast to the photo and she seemed to be really blown out, but I ended up having to treat the girl and the background seperatly. I used levels/curves/hue and saturation to get it to a good base, I then put her skin on it's own seperate layer and ran a hue & saturation layer on it, then on a different layer added makeup. Little tweak here and there. Hard to tell alot because of the small file size.

personally i think your attempt looks beautiful. i love the colours in her skin, and i love how she seems to glow. i also think the cool background works nicely in contrast to the warmth of her hair and skin.

if you were after a 'technically' colour balanced image, then this isn't it. but as far as a great image goes, i think you've succeeded :) as un-natural as the colours are, in this image they look completely at home to me.

perhaps i should be asking you for tips in future for creative work;) keep up the good work.

Setting artistic interpretations aside, I find this photo intriguing. Not only does it have colorcast problem as previously noted, it seems that the skin lacks color information. I thought this could easily be solve by level/curves adj layer.

When I viewed the individual channels of the original, the green channel's gray is lighter than the red, the blue is even more so. This is why there's "cyan" colorcast on the image.

This is what I did, not the best but just another solution:
1. Duplicate background layer

2. On the Blue Channel of the duplicate: Use Apply Image
- Source: Red, Target:Blue, Blending mode:Multiply, Opacity:100%

3. On the Green Channel of the duplicate: Use Apply Image
- Source: Red, Target:Green, Blending Mode:Multiply, Opacity:70%

4. Add Curves Adj Layer
- Blending mode:Multiply, Opacity:60%

5. Add curves adj layer
- Blending mode:Softlight, Opacity:20%

6. Click Select, Color Range. Choose Highlight from the dropdown menu. Click Edit, Copy
- To select all the highlights in the photo.

7. Add Hue/Sat Adj Layer
- Master, Lightness:-5
- This is to tone down the highlight that you selected from #6

8. Colored the skin and the lips
- I don't want to do this but it seems there's not much color information to work on
