I am a new menber. I want to learn how to professionally retouch my digital portraits............I am interested in learning general facial retouching techniques, crows feet, remoming unwanted highlights and shadows, adjusting for best skin tones in both color and greyscale, etc. I use Corel Photopaint 8 but I also own PS 5.5 and PS essentials (bundled with my Canon 20D). Where should I be looking?

Hi Bulos,

Welcome to RP.

For a general grounding in retouch technique, I would suggest reading Photoshop Restoration & Retouching by Katrin Eismann. It has chapters devoted entirely to Portrait Retouching and Fashion and Glamour work.

As well as that, browse the forums here at RP, there's a wealth of technique and tips available (use the search function to find topics that interest you), or if you have a specific question, post it, I'm sure you'll get help from a lot of friendly and skilfull people.
