I know they used lasers and fancy 3D software but it's a great job. Could photoshop have been used in this restoration?

Actually saw a bit on this - they start with a cast of the skull, glue special pegs to it (the pegs represent scientifically proven depths of tissue at specific locations around the face and head. Then they layer clay, putty, and wax in the shape of muscle tissue and skin. Finally it's pained by hand and hair is applied one strand at a time.
The sculpture you posted was made by a French forensic team. An Egyptian team also did their own. A third, American team did one as well, but they were never told it was King Tut. The French and Egyptians knew, so they brought theirs to a greater state of completion knowing it would probably end up as a permanent museum display piece.

Here is the link to the US forensic team's Plaster cast. http://tinyurl.com/d8856 They are fairly close. The ears in the US team's is smaller, the nose and lips are a little differnt as well. I wonder if a photoshop makeover could be done on the white plaster profile. It would make a great challange.
