.. it's not what you think. Eastern State Penitentary is open to tours. It's in Philadelphia, PA. It's closed, very old and they don't really maintain the building too well. You have to sign a waiver to go in because the place is falling apart. It's 11 acres and looks like a castle. It was one home to Al Capone. You can still see his jail cell.

Since I don't have money to buy the camera of my dreams, I settled for a Fuji Finepix S3100 since Staples has no restocking fee. I decided to try the camera out before I go tommorow so I know it works and here's a few pictures (56k warning.. these pics are pretty big):

.. soon as I get back from the jail I am returning the camera and hopefully next Friday I'll have enough money to afford my Digital Rebel XT.

I didn't read the post properly, and I expected shots of the jail. I was thinking Capone got better jails than some of the CEOs now. :dizzy:

So how was it? I just watched Ghosthunter's last Wednesday and they were back there for a second visit. Definately looks like an interesting place. They showed that they pretty much filled in the solitary confinement chamber and there was some fascination with cellblock 12??? I don't remember why. Hope you had a good time.
