I took some pictures of fireworks tonight and thought you'd like to see. These were all taken on my Canon S2 IS with Fireworks Mode on.

Those are great. It is a lot harder to shoot fireworks than one thinks at first. What settings did you use? I'm curious.

Looks like many of the ones I saw last night -- only you'll be able to look at them whenever you want! Nice images, nice website display. :)

I actually mentioned the settings I used in my original post. :)

I turned my Canon S2 IS on, I set the dial to SCENE mode and changed it to FIREWORKS. That's it. :)

I'm very happy with the camera. It's got a 12x optical zoom.

I'm thinking Janet may be interested in the F stop and time settings. You should be able to access the settings in playback mode. Nice pics by the way.

Yeah I have no clue about F stop and stuff like that because I'm not a professional, but lemme try to find out.

I hope this is right.. It says F8.0.. does that sound right?! I just turned on Fireworks mode and started shooting pics. That's all I really know. They came out good, so I didn't try to fool with any of the settings.

I do know that after I pressed the button it took 1 to 1.5 seconds to actually snap the picture, so I had some shots where I missed completely, but I was surprised how well I did. I took about 66 shots total. Those were the best.
