How many pets are too many?
I have 2 dogs, 2 cats & 2 finches in 1100 sq/ft home. I clean everyday and people w/allergies have never complained....too many?

Why do you ask?
If it suits you to have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 finches, then it's OK.
Just as a matter of interest, do you have any problems with the dogs chasing the cats, and the cats chasing the finches (thoughts of Tom & Jerry here).

Lol, it just when people ask how many pets I have...I tell them and there is like an "ew" expression of distaste. I just wanted an average of opinions. I LOVE animals and at one time wanted to be a vet. I think my life would be a lot more empty without them...granted, I would have more time on my hands.
As for Tom and Jerry....my husband's name is Jerry...does that work :)

When you start loosing your sanity, too many pets.
Before we had kids, my limit was 3 cats and a ferret.
Phoebe, Lokki, Jingo, and Sabrina de Gato.

Well, I for one don't think you've got too many.
My sister on the other hand, has 6 dogs, 4 rabbits, two Chinchillas at the moment (she keeps selling the young uns to a local pet store, who gives her free food for her other animals in exchange), a couple of Hamsters and a Parrot.
OK, she's got a lot of space, but that's over the top. Still, even from being a kid, she always brought home all the waifs and strays, and she's not changed in that respect at all.
I've just got two Dobermanns, Susie & Sasha.

I agree -- on both counts! :) Currently, my count is two dogs and three cats. The number fluctuates, but I always like to have the combination. When I get tired from walking the dogs, I can sit down with a cat in my lap...
My brother currently has 14 cats -- he took in a stray with kittens six years ago (didn't adopt any of them out), and took in a pregnant stray this spring -- had six kittens, then another was dumped in a sack in his roadway -- hasn't found anyone yet to adopt any of these, and doesn't really want to give them away although even he realizes that 14 is too many for him to afford -- just the spay/neuter costs are going to be expensive...
