I just did a coloring of a black and white photo. This is my second try and I have a question, about recoloring a layer . If i have added a new layer to color a portion and then notice another layer I colored has a spot missing can I go back and color that layer again where I noticed the missing spots. Clear as mud hu?

Also I somehow moved a tool bar up to high and it is covering the top lbar how do I move it to the right place.

About the toolbar; if you click and hold your mouse on the dots or the blue strip to the left of the brush icon in the toolbar you will be able to move it down so that it is not covering the menus.

Not sure I totally understand your question about coloring, but so long as you haven't merged the layer that you want to do some more fixing on it shouldn't be a problem. Another way would be to add another layer and repair it there.

Thank You Paris: I am on my way to fix both my small problems. I am so new to using Photoshop. Just did not know how to move the bar. I tried to use the mouse before to do it but did not work. Maybe I was not on the exact spot. :ditsy: Neb

Hey neb,
It is fairly easy to recolor a layer if you missed a spot. All you need to do is:

1. If the opacity of the layer is turned down, or the blend mode is other than normal, change the opacity to 100% and the layer blend mode to normal. This should give you back your original color.

2. Now that you have the original color back, use the eyedropper tool to choose the color.

3. Now do one of two things, either select the layer and then fill it with the color, or use the paintbrush to fix the spot.

4. Now change your layer settings back.

My advice when doing this kind of project, is to always save the color layers as alpha channels. It makes it much easier to re-select them if you need to. Hope this helps somewhat.
