[I am sure if I wade through all the threads there will be some guidance on the best way to stitch several pictures together to form a panorama. Unfortunately I have limited time on a dial up speed connection. Can anyone give me a few pointers please?

vmt,

paulatt,

the way I do it is with software that has panorama stictching tools included ie: Photoshop Elements 3.0 or ACDSee 7.0 (I think, I am at work and don't have access to all my photo software to check).

What software are you using for editing photos?

Oh yeah, one more thing. It looks like you are new to this site (like me). At the bottom of this thread the system automatically posts related subjects based on the subject you put in your post. (So just scorll down to find other threads on similar topics).

I used Panorama Factory a few times and it works really good! It can even correct distorsions if you select camera you were using. Really good software.

In photoshop, there's a function called photomerge. It's under File | Automate

But first, you have to open all those images that you'd like to stitch together, then activate this Photomerge function. You just follow along after that, it's pretty easy.

Not sure if you found what you are looking for yet but I personally use Stitcher for all of my panorama's. Depending on what you are looking to do photoshop would probably work for basic panaorama's.
