Hello forumusers, I am looking for a plugin/solution that is able to output a nice detailed image of multiple only partly detailed images of the same motif as input.
I know there is some software that does it, but i forgot its name. I think it had something to do with astronomy, where users have many bad detailed shots of galaxies and combine them to one high detailed image.
Thanks for any constructive answers!

Can you be a bit clearer? You want to overlay several lowrez images to make one highrez image?

I've heard of this sort of thing being used in security video where they'll take many low resolution frames and combine the details in each to create a higher resolution composite of a suspect. As far as I know it's pretty high end stuff and I'm not sure it's available off the shelf.

there is a thread here on retouch about a nasa program that folks can download. i believe it's free and is used for extremely high-res images of deep space photography. but not sure this is what you're looking for.
you might try a search on nasa, astronomy, astrometrics, deep space and anything else that might seem relevant.

Try this one (http://www.astrostack.com/). You might also be interested in other astronomy software (http://members.cox.net/astro7/software.html).

yes thank you, thats the kind of software. sadly, it only works with pictures that are same resolution, which makes it unusable for me needs. anyway, thanks for the information.
