View Full Version : Over-Exposed Photo Fix?

I recently got this old photo that shows a couple of fishing guides and their party.
Using PS5.5, I've tried various combinations of Levels, Curves, Auto Contrast, and so on, but with poor results.
Since I am a complete beginner, I hope that someone with more experience may be able to make this photo usable ( see the faces at least).
I am prepared to hear this photo is really junk.

Any thoughts on how to proceed in a more effective way? Would a newer version of Photoshop help?

Thanks for any and all suggestions,

Ed

The photo didn't get attached. I'll try again.

For starts: Layer/Layer via Copy/Set Layer Mode to "Multiply" in the Layers Palatte. You can do this more than once. If the effect is too strong, lower the Layer Opacity to the desired effect...skip

Over exposed is too much light isn't it? If so, try as per skipc but change mode to overlay

Try blending mode of multiply
