PHOTO MANIPULATION

This month’s challenge is quite the ghoulish task. Time to become a special effects makeup artist and just in time for Halloween! :vampire:

Directions:
Turn this person or persons into a Halloween Fright. Zombies, Vampires, Ghouls, oh my! What can you create? The goal is realism, so try to make your creation as realistic looking as possible. :jacko:

Files: There are two. You can pick the one you want to work on, or use them both, or even use parts from both photos.

IMPORTANT: The best way to download the images is by right clicking (or Cmd/Ctrl clicking) on the link and using "Save Target As".

THE RULES:

1. Contest will run from 1 Oct to 22 Oct 2005. Deadline for entries is 6pm EDT 22 Oct 2005.

2. When you submit your entry put your username in the filename (ie: tpaul.jpg). This is so users can save the images to a local directory and remember who did what--important when it comes time to vote.

3. Your final image size should be as close to 800 px on the long side and 600 px on the short side as possible. Also remember that the file cannot be larger than 100KB.

4. Post your entries to this thread. Please restrict your comments, questions or discussion to the Oct 05 Contest Discussion thread (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11686). Inappropriately placed posts will be deleted.

5. Only one entry per person.

6. Voting will run from 23 Oct to 29 Oct 2005. Only those with entries may vote. You will vote for the 5 best entries in order. Post your votes in the following thread (Oct 05 Contest Votes (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11685)). Note you cannot vote for your own image.

Please don’t forget to post your entry/comment/vote to the correct thread--there will be three!! Posts made to the incorrect thread will be deleted.

This is a very scary thread! :nod: But lots of fun.

Well it's the first time I've posted anything on here so let's hope it works... already blew the image resize and lost lots of my detail. Anyway you'll all no doubt get the gist of where I was going with it.

On Halloween it ends in horror!

Never tried zombifying anyone before. Thought this could be fun, so here's my first try. Actually did this in the middle of the night.. :lol:

Ok, the challenge was to keep it the most photo-realistic, to make it more of a challenge I created this in Photoshop without importing any photos except for the two faces ... the other challenge was goulish ... well I wasn't feeling goulish, I like the irony of the peaceful scene... ;)
