How long did it take you to master your Wacom tablet?

Did you have advice on what settings work best?

Did you attend a course or seminar of any sort?

The reason I prefer a Wacom is the intuitive feel. I was comfortable with it 5 minutes out of the box.

I was looking into one of these but I'm not sure

WACOM Intuos3 PTZ630 6" x 8"

I found it for about $290, do you think that is a good price? I've never used one before so I really don't know what the best one is. I did a search in here on Wacom but I didn't really see if someone said it was good or not... hope you don't mind I posted it here. Sometimes I'm tired and over look things

All the wacom tablets work pretty much the same. The size of the tablet that will work best for you depends on your style.

Do you make wide sweeping strokes with your whole arm when you draw or brush? If so, you might feel more comfortable on a larger tablet. If, on the other hand (so to speak), you just use your hand and wrist for movement then a smaller tablet might be more comfortable.

As to the technical function of the tablets... all Intuos3 tablets will have the same abilities and functions as will the all Graphire family be similar, etc.

In other words, there's nothing that a 9x12 Intous3 can do that a 6x8 can't.

It does thank you. I do tend to just keep it in the wrist. I'm used to working in a small area anyways even with a mouse.
