I am looking for a color printer that uses archival quality inks, and will print on heavy mat board (1.3 mm) on oversized stock (<19" will do). *Must* work with MACs. I gather my choices other than Epson (already bought their R2400) would be HP or Canon. Anyone have any experience with the current one's offered?

Also, I have heard that inkjets, rather than lasers, are best for photo repro - is that right?

Is there a web site which compares the most current models from Canon, HP or others? My output per/mo is <200 prints, but need the highest quality color quality. I print a LOT of gray, browns and blacks.

Any input would really be appreciated.
