| View Full Version : Picture is Pixeled shyngentle 12-07-2005, 02:35 AM Hi there everyone! I am new to the forum and to Photoshop cs. I have a picture that is very tiny. It measures 220pixels X 144pixels. I want to make it larger so i can see faces. I already know how to enlarge the picture but everytime i do i get the same thing, it looks pixely. I don't know what to do and I am hopeing that someone may be able to help me. If this is the case and you have it in hardcopy, you would probably be best to get it scanned at a minimum of 600dpi and then work on it from there. NancyJ 12-07-2005, 04:04 AM Sorry, shyngentle. PS can do many wonderous things but it cant create something that wasnt there in the first place. No matter what technique you use to enlarge, smooth and sharpen the image you wont ever be able to see their faces properly, the data just isnt there. Something as unique and identifyable as a human face just cant be recreated through progressive enlargement (or any other technique) from a skin coloured splotch and a couple of dark pixels where the eyes should be. twinkissed 12-07-2005, 06:55 AM Right, like here I did enlarge it using the smart object but there isn't really any details in the faces. I did have it a little larger (not any different in detail) but I didn't realize how big the file was :dizzy: so I had to chop it back down |
