Hi all,
New monitor for Chrismas, and having problems calibrating... first of all I'm on a mac. When I started reading about these LCD flat panels, adobe suggest you use the manufactures profile, problem is I had already started messing with all the settings and can't seem to find a way to reset to the original default settings. Does anyone have any idea on the best way to go about calibrating these puppies? Thanks for your time. Also, one more thing is I notice it is set for PC 2.2 gamma and when I set it to mac 1.8 it looks light.... argh... I just don't get this! I'm already missing my big sony trinitron, but it was starting to go out sooooo...

I am not a Mac user and I know that display color is managed very differently.
I suggest you post your question on the Adobe Photoshop Mac Forum at the link below. There are a ton of experts there.

I'd suggest disabling any utilities that came with your vidcard and stick with the Mac native ColorSync utilities http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/colorsync/

I'm not a Mac user, but I believe there's even a calibrator app in there somewhere.
