I'm new to the site, an adult, with a high interest in manipulating nude art - I was just wondering what the guidelines are as far as pictures posted and what they contain - I don't want to post porn, lol, at all. I am happy to send you a sample privately to explain better what I have here that I'd love critiqued, and to share, I avoided these pics in profile pic/avatar so that I can ask before I post anything.

If someone can clarify it, that would be fantastic, if its some yes, some no, an explanation would be handy of what is/isn't allowed.

I tried the FAQ and posting guidelines, but couldn't see anything relating to photograph content.

Thanks!

Hi there, aylaah. Welcome to RetouchPRO :bigthmb:

I think only Doug can give you the definite answer here.

In the meanwhile, I'll reply as I see it.

Internet is the World Wide Web, which means that an international site like RetouchPRO is aimed at all countries, all people, all religions etc.
As such it is best to steer clear of openly showing anything that runs the risk of being interpreted somewhere as offensive.

However, nudes are, and have always been, a very important part of Art and as such I (personally) would find it strange to ignore the subject completely.

The usual workaround is to NEVER post any nude (or overly erotic) images, just put in a hyperlink and a clear advisory notice of anything potentially offensive.

But, like I said, this is Doug's call.

Well, you know it makes so much sense, it was too easy for me to think of :P

I'll wait for the final word from Doug though, thank you!

I probably should have put this in the 'help' forum too - sorry - totally skipped it, didn't see it until after posting!
