Well, this actually isn't a retouch, but a photo manip/art/whatever...
I took a single eye out of a photo of a woman, retouched it and copied it to get two eyes and added some text. Photo was b/w in original, so I added some colour to the eyes and adjusted hue/sat once finished.

First, let me know what you think, what are the flaws?
Secondly, what do you advice on the eye edges? Outer ones. I wanted to achieve "only eyes on background" effect, but simply couldn't get a good tender blend with the outer edges, without losing that a bit provocative look.

I don't know how (I'm not a technical this is what you do poster, lol) but if you can remove the skin under the bottom lid, I would. But then it might make the rest of it look uneven too. Hmm.

Well I like the effect and the font. Its hard to be more specific than that since its certainly falls more into the criteria of art (to me) than photo manipulation.

I think the overall effect is fine. The mirroring of the eyes is pretty obvious, though that isn't necessarily a problem. You might try changing some of the obvious eyelashes and hairs in the eyebrows just to break up the pattern, which pretty much jumps out at you.

Also, there's something about mirrored eyes: they're never quite looking at you the way real eyes appear when they're focusing on the camera. It's not that they look crossed, just that they're each looking at a slightly different point. You might experiment by moving the iris of one of them a little to the left and a little to the right and see if either variation gives a noticable result.

These are quibbles, however. It looks great.

I am aware of the mirroring issue (iris mis-effect especially). Edgework's tip on moving iris is a good one, and I will probably give it a try later on.
